21t Century Branding and Innovation for Cultural Institutions
The BRIDGE for CSOs project, implemented by the Armenian General Benevolent Union & Eurasia Partnership Foundation and financed by the Europen Union, invite Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working in the field of Arts and Culture to participate in the workshop: 21t Century Branding and Innovation for Cultural Institutions.

November 9-11, 2018, Yerevan, Armenia.

Workshop Description:
A three-day workshop programme for managers of CSOs working in the Arts and Culture sectors. The program will enable cultural practitioners and leaders to develop their branding and innovation skills through a combination of presentations with relevant case studies, practical working experiences, and dynamic action-oriented learning aimed to inspire, make, and connect. The three days programme will get delegates thinking about the idea of a brand, the benefits for an organisation, and the opportunity for delegates to connect and share knowledge. The programme format has the aim to awake interest, discovery, contribute to new perspectives and build a community of Art and Culture pioneers.

Eligibility:
* Applicants must currently run or be a part of a CSO working in the Arts and/or Culture sectors
* Applicants must have a professional experience and/or education in the Arts and/or Culture sector
* Applicants should demonstrate a) understanding of their organization’s needs for capacity building, and b) motivation to
build the capacity of their organization
* Applicants should have a working knowledge of English language.

During the 3-day workshop, the participants will learn to:
* Understand the building blocks of a brand for Arts and Culture
* Direction and tools to approach participant’s organisations brand platform
* Analyse trends in the Arts and Culture sector at a national/international level
* Develop an audience segmentation and an understanding for audiences preferences
* Identify opportunities for innovation and brand engagement strategies
* Imaginative and innovative thinking with ideation and co-creation techniques
* Define a design brand brief to visualise the brand strategy on the spot in collaboration with designers

Coach Profile:
Workshops will be led by the invited consultant, Cecilia Martin.
“Hello, I am Cecilia Martin, an independent brand strategist and the co-founder of Lava Lab specialised in the cultural sector. I have been part of the development of brand strategies for a wide variety of organisations including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Garage Museum of Contemporary Culture, Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative, King’s College Cultural Institute, Art Fund, V&A, La Caixa Foundation, Spanish Television RTVE, A*DESK, Netherland´s Museums Association, Child Helpline International, DAS Graduate School, Windermere Jetty Museum , Wienna Konzerthaus and Netherlands National Museum of World Cultures among others.

My work is often done in co-creation with clients and multidisciplinary teams, learning from each other, sharing knowledge and encouraging cross-pollination of ideas and expertise. I am a proud member of ICOM MPR Board. I also enjoy researching and teaching. I am Guest Lecturer at the University of Alicante and I have given master classes at the idEC University Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona, OTIS Design College in Los Angeles and City University London. Currently I am teaching Arts Branding at the Master of Contemporary Art of the University of Barcelona. I am also a frequent innovation speaker and a workshop facilitator on international conferences such us VLOW!, Transform, Communicating the Museum Conference, Design Indaba. I am looking forward having practitioners and leaders that are ready to innovate and lead change in branding for Arts and Culture and share knowledge in the sector.”

Technical information:
*The number of participants will be limited to 20 people. Applications will be reviewed by the team of the Bridge4CSOs programme.
*Participation in the workshop is free of charge
*Organizers will cover the transportation, meals and lodging fees for participants coming from regions of Armenia
*The working language of the workshop will be English. Some sections of the workshop may be provided in Armenian. Shortlisted applicants will be informed on November 2, 2018
*The venue of the workshop will be at the Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) head office in Yerevan
*Shortlisted applicants should agree to attend all three days of the workshop
*Shortlisted applicants should agree to participate in the evaluation of the workshop upon completion of the event
