2020 NASW-NE Awards
Criteria for each award is listed under each category. You will also have the option to select a second award category after your initial nomination.

Awards will be given at the 2020 Conference on September 25th.

Social Worker of the Year Criteria
Using the following criteria please provide a short narrative describing why the individual you are nominating is qualified for this award.
Criteria
* BSW or MSW Member of NASW-NE in good standing and upholds the code of ethics.
Please confirm Membership status by emailing twerner.naswne@socialworkers.org. All non member nominations will not be considered.

* Has made major contributions to human services
* Has taken exceptional risk to better human services
* Has made Superior contributions to the public knowledge of social work, social issues and programs through advocacy for social workers.
* Demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities
* Has not been a member of the NASW-NE Chapter Board of Directors during the last two years
Region Award Criteria
Using the following criteria please provide a short narrative describing why the individual you are nominating is qualified for this award.

Lifetime Achievement Criteria
* BSW or MSW Member of NASW-NE in good standing and upholds the code of ethics

* Has made major contributions to human services
* Has taken exceptional risk to better human services

* Demonstrates repeated outstanding achievements
* Has been recognized beyond the social work profession
* Exhibits outstanding creativity and Courage
Public Citizen Criteria
* Has made major contributions to Human services
* Has taken exceptional risk to better human services
* Demonstrates Exceptional leadership qualities
Elected Public Official Criteria
* Is an elected official
* Has maed major contributions to human services
* Has taken Exceptional risks to better human services
* Demonstrates exceptional risk to better human services
