Leeds Young Film Festival welcomes children, young people and their families to the largest event of its kind in the North of England. The festival features a programme of new and unseen cinema for children from around the world, as well as classic screenings, moving-image related workshops and masterclasses. Leeds Young Film Festival will present The Film House, Animation Central and the Virtual Reality Zone over Easter weekend 2017 (Friday 14th April till Monday 17th April). Animation Central at Carriageworks Theatre will be home to four days of animation and digital storytelling, with films, masterclasses and workshops. The Film House returns to Leeds Town Hall at Easter with a brand new experience for all the family. In partnership with Sneaky Experience the hall will be transformed into a Dr Seuss inspired world with activities and mini screenings to enjoy. The newest addition to the Leeds Young Film Festival is a the Virtual Reality Zone at the Brodrick Hall in Leeds City Museum which will include a full immersion dome projection, Tilt Brush and other VR experiences. We need a range of dedicated volunteers to help with the set-up and ushering of this exciting event. As a volunteer for The Film House, Central Animation and the Virtual Reality space at Leeds Young Film Festival, you will be assisting the smooth delivery, set-up and take down of this event. Duties will include: - Ushering Cinemas - Event Stewarding - Event set-up and take down - Staffing workshop doors - Being a general information point - Reporting any problems to the Event Manager/Venue Coordinator - Volunteers may be required to assist with the running of the workshops at Animation Central, more detail we will provided nearer the time Volunteer induction will be on Monday 27th March at 17:30 in Leeds Town Hall, which YOU MUST ATTEND.
Volunteer DBS Check
Volunteers may be subject to a free DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service), and you must be prepared to share identity credentials with us if you wish to be a volunteer
