We have been asked by independent companies to help them bring to life the negative impact the UMG/Downtown deal will have on the independent music sector. We have already seen over 200 CEOs, founders and business leaders sign an initial letter, with signatures gathered in just three days, and we have been asked to help them and others express why the deal matters for their business.

This is an opportunity open to labels, distributors, artists, managers, composers, publishers and others in the sector who agree the deal should be blocked.

To bring to life the negative impact the UMG/Downtown deal will have on the independent music sector, we want to gather personal accounts of how the deal could impact independent businesses, artists and others in the sector. Please share your views and explain why you think the deal should be blocked.

We'd love to hear specifically about how the deal would impact you, or any concerns you have about the long-term consequences for independent music more broadly.
