Because of the growing demand for the limited accommodations available at Catholic House, the Chautauqua Catholic Community has established a “Lottery System” to assure equitable opportunities for room arrangements.

The rate for all rooms is $550 per week. This is a room fee only and does not include a weekly gate pass to the Chautauqua Institution, parking fees or food. To enter the Catholic House Lottery:

Option 1
Fill out the form that is part of a Catholic House brochure and mail it to Chautauqua Catholic Community, PO Box 106, Chautauqua, NY 14722. No deposit is required but your mailed form must be post-marked between October 1 and November 15.

Option 2
Complete this online form and submit it between October 1 and November 15.

You will be notified by January 1, if you have won the lottery, and which week you will be able to reside at Catholic House. If you are not successful, you will be placed on a waiting list and contacted should an opening arise.

All notifications will be by email. If you do not have an email address, please try to get a friend or relative to give you their email so we can communicate quickly and directly.

Full payment of $550 will be required by March 1. You may pay by check sent to our PO Box 106 or via PayPal. Winners of the Lottery will receive payment options and procedures with their confirmation email.
