Road to Emmaus Registration
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Greetings of the Lord’s peace to you! The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry is offering “Road to Emmaus”: A Development Retreat for Young Leaders on October 27 to 29, 2017 at St. Benedict’s Retreat Centre. It is a unique opportunity to gather and nourish our Youth Ministry teams as they respond to God’s call to missionary discipleship.

The theme of the retreat is taken from the Gospel according to Saint Luke, following the road to Emmaus narrative. The disciples, disillusioned with Jesus’ death, were on their way to Emmaus when they had an encounter with the Lord himself. Through intentional relationship and communion in the Breaking of the Bread, their eyes were opened (Luke 24: 31) and their hearts were set ablaze for mission. After the encounter, they could not help but change the course of their journey – and their lives – and headed for Jerusalem, where they proclaimed the Good News of our Lord’s resurrection. R to E will provide an opportunity for an encounter with Jesus in prayer, through the Holy Spirit, and connect the youths’ experience with their baptismal call to leadership.

The spaces at St. Benedict’s are limited; registrations will be honoured in a first come, first serve basis. Do not hesitate to contact the OYYAM at or 452-2227 ext. 228 if you have any questions.

Thank you very much once again!

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Road to Emmaus Team
