The Richmond Peace Education Center will hold its 2017Youth Peace Summit on Saturday April 29, 2017, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at St. Paul's Baptist Church--Southside Campus, 700 E Belt Blvd., Richmond, VA 23223.
The summit emphasizes cooperation and collaboration among Metro Richmond’s diverse populations of young people. Register below. Early registrants will get first choice of workshops.
The day features an opening program followed by 90-minute morning and afternoon breakout workshops. Topics focus on: diversity and inter-group unity and understanding; building healthy relationships; youth community organizing; conflict resolution; and juvenile justice. Other workshops promote arts for social change: dance, music, ethnic cooking traditions and more.
TO REGISTER GROUPS OF YOUNG PEOPLE: We do need the names and workshop choices for each individual participant. Groups can register multiple participants by either: 1. completing this online form for each member individually (preferred method), OR 2. emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a registration form that can be printed and handed to individuals to complete.
