US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Annual Pathway Scholarship Application
The US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce-Southeast Region (USPAACC-SE) will be awarding $2,000 scholarships to deserving students who are residents of the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee.

The USPAACC-SE Pathway Scholarships recognize students who personify high ethics as demonstrated through leadership, community service, overall personal integrity, and academic history.

ELIGIBILITY
Each applicant should be:

A current full-time college student seeking an undergraduate degree who is a resident of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee.


OR

A current college-bound high school senior (class of 2021) who is a resident of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee.

AND

Applicants must be individuals from at least one diverse group such as:

Pan Asian American
African American
Latino/Latina/Latinx
Native American
Woman
Differently-abled
LGBTQ

TIMELINE
Friday, August 14, 2020 Scholarship applications open

Friday, September 25, 2020 Scholarship entries are due by 9:00 pm EDT.

Tuesday, September 29, 2020 Finalists will be notified by 6:00 pm EDT.

Friday, October 2, 2020, Scholarship Acceptance and paperwork due to USPAACC by 6:00 pm EDT.

REQUIREMENT OF WINNERS

Due to COVID-19, there will not be an in-person gathering in 2020 to award scholarships. If selected as a scholarship winner in 2020, you will be expected to submit a video about yourself, what you plan to study, and how this scholarship will help you achieve your academic goals.

ESSAY CRITERIA

Applicants will submit ONE essay between 600-1000 words from the essay topics below. Any applicant that submits more than one essay or an essay that does not meet the word count requirements will automatically be disqualified.

An independent panel of judges will evaluate essays on effectiveness in presenting a point of view, thoughtful and creative interpretation of the topic, grammar, and spelling. The submitted essay must be the applicant's original work.
