Please follow this procedure when missing a rehearsal or performance.
1. Inform Leadership (section Leaders) and staff of your absence, everyone should email Mr. Mills, guard and percussion should also inform their instructors.
2. Fill out the attached form.
3. Fill out the form FOR EACH DAY that you will miss if its multiple days.
Acceptable reasons (and Excused) for missing rehearsals are as follow: Illness for which you did not come to school, illness which you left school (ask the nurse to send me an email letting me know you left school) Funerals, unavoidable conflicts with 2 weeks notice (a wedding, family obligation, Dr appointments)
Unacceptable reasons for missing might include: Work Schedules, other activities that conflict regularly with band rehearsals, going shopping, last minute trips or appointments that were made after you received the band calendar and rehearsal schedule. Examples such as these will not be excused and could result in loss of performance privileges.
"out of town". or "Family event:" Does not give me enough information to determine if the absence is excused or unexcused.
