Librarians take action and have tapped into their expertise by creating guides, syllabi and other tools centered around social justice advocacy, especially with the current political climate. Most significantly, there has been a rise in the creation of the anti-oppression or anti-racism libguide that in general, aims to provide information and a starting point to learn about key social issues and provide resources to the communities we serve.
Continuing our project, presented as a poster at JCLC 2018, and considering feedback, we would like your thoughts on how library workers are participating in social justice activism and contributing to social causes through the above mentioned libguides, and everyday work. How do you incorporate anti-racism in your work? How are your efforts impacting your campus, and communities? Responses are anonymous.
