NOTRE DAME EDUCATION COMMITTEE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION 2016-2017
Each year the Notre Dame Education committee sponsors a variety of scholarships of Excellence at Notre Dame for students in Grades 8-11. Awards are given in the areas of Academics, Christian Witness/Education, Athletics and Visual/Performing Arts.

Students must have demonstrated excellence in the area(s) over the past school year. These awards are for $200 and will be given to two individuals at each grade level who have met the criteria for eligibility in the specified area. Once the applications are received, they will be assessed by the department heads and their staff. Recipients of each scholarship will be recognized at the Major Awards night.

(Funds will normally be distributed to male and female students at each grade level, but there may be exceptions.)

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP
If you are applying for the ACADEMIC Scholarship, you must have a 90% average based on the March Report Card (this will be verified). If you are applying for the ACADEMIC scholarship AND you fit all of the criteria, check the box below:
ATHLETICS SCHOLARSHIP
If you are applying for the ATHLETIC Scholarship, you must have a 73% average, based on the March Report Card and you must be in at least TWO SPORTS at Notre Dame. In the space provided below, please list the sports that you have been involved in this school year and if you have been a captain or co-captain.
VISUAL & PERFORMING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP
If you are applying for the VISUAL & PERFORMING ARTS Scholarship, you must have a 73% average, based on the March Report Card. In the space provided below, please list the Visual Art and/or Performing Art Activities that you have been involved in during this school year:
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
If you are applying for the CHRISTIAN EDUCATION Scholarship, you must fulfill the following criteria: have a 73% average based on the March Report Card; A letter reference from your parish priest (hand this in to Ms. Marghetti); a minimum of 86% in Christian Education. In the space provided below, list any courses or activities that you have been involved in, that have enhanced your growth as a Catholic Christian:
