SCDCTA Training Scholarship

The Mission of the SCDCTA Scholarship Committee is to provide educational opportunities to members who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to and/or excellence in the sport as well as service and ambassadorship within SCDCTA.

The SCDCTA Training Scholarship has been established to provide funding support for SCDCTA member-riders who are working to sharpen their riding skills. Two scholarships will be offered each year to eligible SCDCTA members for concentrated work with a trainer of their choice to further their riding.

One will be awarded to an Adult Amateur and one will be awarded to a Professional. 8 hours of volunteer time with an SCDCTA function will be required after the scholarship has been given and member must be current and in good standing in order to be eligible.

The current SCDCTA board will act as the SCDCTA Training Scholarship Committee to determine the scholarship recipients. Current SCDCTA board member applications are only eligible for the scholarship if there are insufficient general SCDCTA member applications. Should there be insufficient eligible applications for any given year, the money will remain in the SCDCTA general fund. Previous SCDCTA Training Scholarship recipients will be eligible to apply again if desired following a 2 year waiting period.

Interested SCDCTA members should fill out the SCDCTA Training Scholarship Application below. Applications must be in hand no later than 5 pm on October 15 of the year prior to the award year in order to be eligible for scholarship consideration.
