ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP: The Daniel D. Garza Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of Daniel, who passed away at age 2.5 from Familial Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (FHLH). This $500 scholarship supports resilient students who have experienced traumatic loss as they pursue higher education.

RECOMMENDER REQUIREMENTS: This recommendation must be completed by a teacher, school counselor, school administrator, or community organization leader who has worked with the applicant in an educational or leadership capacity. Family members, friends, and peers are not eligible to serve as recommenders.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: All recommendation letters must be received by April 8th, 2026.
