Baildon Town Council has an overall responsibility to contribute to the well-being of our community. However, it is not the District Council! It a small operation with no regulatory powers, a small budget (about £100000 per year), three part time staff and up to 12 councillors who are volunteers and receive no payments. The Town Council works by representing the needs and interests of Baildon and striving to improve the quality of life and delivering services in Baildon, usually working with others.
The work of Baildon Town Council is underpinned by the Baildon Plan, which was produced in 2011 and updated in 2014, both times following extensive consultation with residents about what they saw as the priorities for future improvements in Baildon. Supporting local businesses and job creation is one of the priorities identified.
As a Baildon business, we would like to know your views of what we already do and what we could do in future.
