2018 Annual Regional School Garden SummitOctober 12-13, 2018
The Summit Planning Committee invites you to submit a proposal for poster presentations at the 2018 Regional School Garden Summit. This year the summit will consist of an extended plenary, small group discussions and larger group activities. In order to provide a forum for sharing innovative programming around a variety of topics, we are including a poster presentation area. A list of topics is below. Participants will have time throughout the day to peruse the poster area. Particular topics of interest are listed below. The call is open to educators, administrators, food service providers, non-profits and government agencies in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:Poster submissions must include the following:• Poster Category (Select one primary focus, and make note of any other areas that would be covered by the poster as a secondary focus)o Garden and garden program designo Food justiceo Entrepreneurship/career and technical educationo Community engagemento Garden to cafeteria• Poster Title• Author(s)
SUBMISSION METHOD/DEADLINE:Please fill out THIS FORM, which will capture the above information. If you have trouble with the form, you may also email the above information to firstname.lastname@example.org. Forms and emails must be submitted by 5 p.m. EST on Friday, August 31, 2018. You will be notified by email the week of September 3rd if your submission has been accepted. All accepted poster authors must attend the summit and your registration fee will be waived.
POSTER REQUIREMENTS: Posters must include photographs and text and be either tri-fold and stand on a table (we will provide tables) or sit on an easel (you must provide easel).
