Utah HERitage Business
Participate as a UtahHERitage Business This August!

150 years ago, the first vote under a women’s suffrage law was cast and counted.
That happened right here in Utah. At that moment, Seraph Young and her vote
changed the lives of women forever. Utah women later fought alongside their fellow
Americans to pass the 19th Amendment, which extended women’s voting rights across the nation. This important milestone celebrates its 100th birthday on August 26, 2020. The nation will be celebrating this momentous anniversary in just two months!

Even after the 19th Amendment, the struggle for suffrage continued beyond 1920 for many women of color. We witness the legacy of these great leaders every day in strong, influential, female trailblazers across Utah in our families and communities. To honor the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, we invite you to become a UtahHERitage business this August and show how you live the Utah women’s legacy of leadership.
