As part of the Stage 3, Creative Arts program, we have arranged for the students of Year 6 to participate in a music incursion at St Hurmizd Assyrian Primary School. The incursion is run by Cultural Infusions and students will experience music and instruments from Mongolia. Students will hear how a traditional folk instrument, the horse head fiddle, is played and how different sounds can be produced vocally.
The Mongolian throat singer, Bukhu, will entertain and also inform the students of his culture. The incursion also integrates with our Geography unit where students have been learning about Asia.
