Are you interested in volunteering for the U District Food Bank on the Saturday (9am or 10am) dates below?
Deliveries for U District Food Bank will take around an hour and a half to make in and around the University District, Ravenna, Magnuson, Green Lake, and Wallingford areas around. Due to the growing number of volunteers who are helping us on Saturday mornings we have decided to split everyone up into two time blocks (a 9am block and a 10am block) in order to greatly reduce crowding and make it easier for me to answer questions and work with new volunteers. We will send you an email with the time block that you will need to arrive in on the Thursday before the Saturday deliveries! If you would like a specific time block or have to cancel please email me at maxwellb@cascade.org
Would you like to ride as part of a small team or would you like to ride solo?
Teams will have a maximum of 4 riders and everyone will be following health safety and social distancing measures. As a solo rider you will be asked to deliver a maximum of 5 bags if you have or are borrowing a bike trailer or 2 bags if you do not wish to use a trailer.

How many grocery bags are you able to transport on your bike?
2 bags is the standard for now as they weigh 20 pounds, If you are able and would like to carry more bags and deliver to more households please put that number below!
Do you need to borrow a bike trailer from us?
These bike trailers are easy to install on your bike and well will bring them to the food bank that you will be delivering groceries for. After you are finished with your delivery and no longer need the trailer you can ether bike it back to the food bank or we can work with you to find a good pickup time and place for returning the trailer to us. Currently our trailers require that you have a bike with a quick-release rear wheel.
