The lack of representation and equity within the neuroscience community oftentimes ostracizes aspiring Black neuroscientists. We deserve to explore our passions in a space where we are uplifted and validated. This space constitutes an atmosphere in which our identity advances our spirit of inquiry and engagement with neuroscience. The Black Neuroscience Society aims to implement journal clubs, mentorship programs, panels, outreach initiatives and social gatherings to connect Black undergraduates and Black neuroscience professionals, with hopes of becoming affiliated with BlackInNeuro.
