Milford's Robotics Summer Camp’s goal is to have 48 girls and 48 boys.
The first 48 GIRLS to sign up, pay in full and payment is RECEIVED by 2:00 PM, April 2nd, 2019 will have a spot held for them. Anyone that signs up after the first 45 students will be placed on a waiting list. If spots open up, those on the waiting list will be contacted in the order they signed up as early as April 3rd (or later) until all the spots are full. If you are on the waiting list, please watch your email closely as you will have only one week from being contacted for us to RECEIVE your payment in full. Your spot is not guaranteed until your payment is RECEIVED in full.
Location: Milford Junior High - Room 48Dates: June 10th - 14th, 2019Time: 8:30 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. (daily, except Friday is 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM)Payment due no later than 2:00 PM, April 2nd, 2019
Cost: $100 - checks should be made payable to "Milford Robotics" and mailed to Jennifer Ring, 1 Eagles Way, Milford, OH 45150. Please, in the memo field, write the “first and last name of the participant-Robotics Summer Camp”.
Payment: Payment must be RECEIVED in full at Milford High School no later than 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019. If it’s not received at the school, your spot will be opened to those on the waiting list and they will be given priority. Please feel free to drop the payment off directly at the High School office.
Camp Agenda:Monday - Students construct the VEX Robotic Clawbot.Tuesday - Students are introduced to C programming.Wednesday - Students create their own 15-second autonomous program and participate in various mini-competitions.Thursday - Students practice for Friday's big event.Friday - Students participate in a fun competition in the gymnasium. Family and friends are invited and encouraged to watch.
Milford's Engineering teachers (two high school and two junior high teachers) volunteer at the camp as do 40+ high school students. The fees generated by this camp go directly to the purchase of VEX robotics equipment which enhances future summer camps and Milford's competitive robotics teams. The teachers do not receive any of the fees as payment.
