We're so glad you're able to join us for SHIFT, TMU's orientation program for current and incoming students with disabilities!

SHIFT is offered in two (2) parts. Together, the two parts of SHIFT, will introduce you to AAS and academic accommodations at TMU, as well as offer you the opportunity to meet other students and get a little more familiar with TMU campus before Orientation Week!

Part 1: SHIFT Introduction to AAS
Virtual information session open to students, parents and support person(s) to guide you through how to register with AAS, documentation requirements, resources, and more! 

Dates: Offered several times throughout summer. You'll be able to select the time that works best for you below. 

Part 2: SHIFT Connect
Join us on campus for an afternoon of conversation, creativity, and connection! At SHIFT Connect, you’ll have the opportunity to meet other students and AAS staff and be part of the TMU community!
  • Date: Tuesday, August 19, 2025
  • Time: Afternoon; specific time to be confirmed
  • Location: Student Learning Centre (SLC) on TMU campus

Part 2: SHIFT Connect

- SHIFT Connect will be held in the Student Learning Centre (SLC). 
- There is ramp and elevator access into the building. 
- There will be chairs and bench seating. 
- There may be activities that require fine motor skills.

Dietary Needs: A light lunch and snacks will be provided. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.
