For generations, East Los Angeles has shouldered the burden of environmental harms and pollution while receiving far too few protections. Our community deserves answers, accountability, and action.

East Los Angeles families have endured:

- The Lineage warehouse fire, which burned for more than a week and continues to leave nearby residents exposed to the overwhelming stench of decomposing food waste as cleanup remains incomplete, raising ongoing concerns about public health and safety.

- On May 22, 2026, nearly 25,000 gallons of crude oil spilled into East Los Angeles, contaminating our streets, impacting local businesses, affecting the Los Angeles River, and disrupting the lives of residents.

- Exide battery plant contamination, exposing generations of families to lead and leaving lasting health and environmental impacts throughout East Los Angeles.

- The continued approval of industrial facilities and warehouses next to homes, schools, parks, and neighborhoods, placing the health and quality of life of our community at risk.

- Decades of cumulative pollution from heavy industry, freight activity, and surrounding freeways that continue to impact the health of East Los Angeles residents.

OUR DEMAND: We are coming together to demand an in-person community town hall with Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis so residents can receive answers, demand accountability, and ensure East Los Angeles is no longer treated as a community expected to absorb environmental harms without meaningful action.
