Pieces of the Puzzle We Will Explore
Buying a home in the U.S. has never been easy. It is the biggest investment you will make in your life, so you don't want to get it wrong. But, the process is so complicated that the average person can get overwhelmed with all of the details. This activity will hopefully help in establishing a familiarity with the process so when the real thing occurs it won't be that daunting.
Your role in this simulation is as follows. Your household can be described as "D.I.N.K", dual income no kids. So, you're in a committed relationship with another person, you both have good jobs in careers that provide a lot of flexibility. One of you is a nurse and the other is in I.T. so you could live anywhere there's a hospital and the I.T. person can work remotely. Thus, you and your partner can live anywhere in the U.S. that is within your means. To help you choose a place, go to this link:
Choose one of the 150 locations listed and write the name and the state in the space below the map.
