These are questions at the center of my—Carolyn Cushing's—term as Poet Laureate of Easthampton, MA from 2023-2025. I'd like to explore this with fellow poets. This survey is a first step. Perhaps it will lead to a series (in-person in Western Mass, virtual, and/or hybrid) or perhaps another form will emerge.
