I understand the ballroom program is a year-long (September to March) commitment.
I understand Introduction to Ballroom is for 3rd and 4th graders on Wednesdays from 3:40-4:40 starting September 3rd.
I understand Introduction to ballroom dancers do not participate in competitions but will participate in a Christmas and spring performance.
I understand Level 1 is for 5th graders on Mondays and Fridays from 8-9am starting September 3rd
I understand Level 2 is for 6th graders on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-9am starting September 2nd
I understand Intro to ballroom is $100 and Levels 1 & 2 are $200
I understand that the class fee is $200 per student ($100 for the 3rd-4th grade class) per YEAR and payment is due by September 30
I understand tuition is due by September 30 and should be paid to the school finance office. There will be be no refunds after September 30.
I understand there will be a parent performance and parent meeting September 18th at 8:30am for all classes.
I understand competitions will be (tentatively) January 17 (Level 1 & 2), March 7 at UVU (Level 1) and March 21 at BYU (Level 2).
I understand that if the class is already full of girls, then my girl’s name will be placed on a “girl waiting list” until a boy commits to join the class.
I understand that any girl who recruits a boy to join the class may add the class immediately if there is room for the couple and the boy commits to stay in the program.
I understand that the boys and girls will NOT be permanent partners in class. Students are expected to change partners often.
I understand that the minimum number of students per class is 14 and the maximum number of students is 28.
I understand that enrollment interest will determine if this class carries. If enough students sign up for levels 1 & 2 then classes will be on WF (level 1) and TTH (level 2). Otherwise there will be a combined class on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I understand ballroom class enrollment is based on a first come first serve basis. Returning ballroom students and students in older grades have priority.
I understand that I may be asked to help in some way to assist the program (ie: phone calls, class treats, Team Match, Concert, etc)
I give permission for photos and videos of my dancer to be shared within the program and for promotional and fundraising purposes.
I understand my Level 1 or 2 dancer will need to purchase their own dance shoes for practice and competitions
I understand my Level 1 or 2 boy dancer will need black pants, a white button up shirt and a black tie for competitions. My girl dancer will need a knee length black skirt and black leotard or shirt for competitions.
