Bread or Stones Campaign Covenant Agreement
Dear Friends and Members of the Louisiana Interchurch Conference,

We share a common concern for our children, as the Gospel demands. Every child in Louisiana is a child of God and deserves our unwavering commitment to improving their life. By serving our children we are serving God most tenderly.

The Bread or Stones Campaign is a way for us, together in churches throughout Louisiana, to act on our moral obligation to improve our children's health, reduce their poverty, help them to stay in school and support their families.

We encourage you to become a Bread or Stones Campaign Covenant member and join us as we aim to improve the lives of children.

Jesus asks: Would one of you hand his child a stone when he asks for a loaf?

How will you answer?

Fr. C. Dana Krutz Robert D. Gorman
Executive Director Chair, Bread or Stones Campaign

What is the Bread or Stones Campaign for Children?

The Bread or Stones Campaign is a coalition of congregations throughout the state of Louisiana who aspire to answer God's call to improve the lives of children. While one church/congregation cannot do it alone we know that through a concerted effort to work with one another we can insure that all of God's children grow up to be the healthy, fulfilled generous and happy women and men that the Lord sees in them.

What will it costs my church/organization to participate?

It's free of charge! In an attempt to make the Bread or Stones Campaign as accessible as possible and to collaborate with congregations and organizations from a wide variety of backgrounds, membership and all of its benefits are free of charge.

Our church or organization is a Bread or Stones Covenant Member. We commit to answering God's call to care for His children through our ministries and prayer. In addition to our ministries we will designate two Sundays a year (one in October and another in May) where we will offer prayer intentions, sermons, community service or a special offering for the well being of children of Louisiana.
