Cherry Hill is not meant to be a shrine to the Van Rensselaers, but a place to explore local history and how it affects our lives. We need your input to make a HCH a place that represents all of Albany.

Goals of this project: 

-To create new welcome areas that celebrate Cherry Hill’s location in the South End neighborhood of Albany. 

-To give the full story of the Cherry Hill household, especially recognizing the lives of people of African descent whose history was erased, and emphasizing Albany’s complex history.

Please let us know which day you would be able to come in to respond to some prototypes created by our consultant team.  A third party evaluator-- Claudia Ocello of Museum Partners Consulting LLC (https://museumpartnersconsulting.com/who-we-are/)-- will be on site to ask you specific questions.

Participants can expect to spend about 30 minutes looking at protoypes and answering questions with Ms. Ocello, and will receive a $15 honorarium gift card and refreshments in appreciation.
