9th Grade Course Sign-Up

Please use this form to request your course selection for your 9th grade courses at Calais High School. Any students entering 9th grade at Calais High School (CHS) and who attended any area elementary schools other than Calais (for example: Perry Elementary, Pembroke Elementary, or Charlotte Elementary) need to complete our CHS ENROLLMENT FORMS to register for the fall. Please go to https://calaisschools.org/chs-documents-forms/ to print our enrollment forms or email kdemmons@calaisschools.org to get a copy emailed to you.

Most classes have an applied, college prep, and honors level. Please choose which level is most appropriate for your student. This decision should also be made with the 8th grade teacher's recommendation.

**Some electives that freshman choose to take are:

CTE explore: where freshman students explore 4 different programs at St. Croix Regional Technical Center like welding, culinary arts, early childhood, building trades, business studies, etc.

Word processing: where you learn how to proficiently use Microsoft word, PowerPoint, etc., which is very helpful for your high school classes. This counts as a computer literacy credit.

Band (if you play an instrument)

Tech Ed: a hands-on class that is geared towards technology, wood working, etc.
