As a “temporary event”, the Mineral Point Market (and all markets) must report vendor information to the Temporary Event Program at the Department of Revenue each month the event takes place. To make our jobs easier, we ask that you provide us with this information in advance of the season. This applies to all vendors – regardless of tax status.

Not sure if you need a seller’s permit? You can find more information at the Department of Revenue website question and answer page. In general, raw fruits and vegetables, unprepared meat, eggs, honey, maple syrup, and some baked goods do not require a seller’s permit. Arts and crafts, flowers, and meal-type food items are taxable, and these vendors may require a seller’s permit.

*A seller’s permit applies only to taxable items. It is not the same as food licensing permits needed for selling processed foods, many baked goods, eggs, meat, etc.
