After School Care Registration 2017-2018

Added December 6, 2017: Additional spaces have been added for Primary/Extended Day children beginning January 2018. If you'd like to add your child to our After School program for regular attendance, January through June, 2018, please enroll below. Applicable charges will be added to your Smart Tuition account for payment due (discounted 10% for prepayment for remainder of the academic year/6 months or monthly fee for January) by January 1, 2018. All invoices and payments will be made through Smart Tuition.

After School meets Monday - Friday from 3:30-5:30 whenever school is in session. The program consists of 3 mini-programs based on class placement: Primary/Extended Day, Junior Level, and Upper Level/Middle School. A delicious and healthy snack is provided in all programs. Each child’s readiness and individual needs are taken into consideration for acceptance in the After School program.

Please note that during our all staff development meetings, we do not offer After School care; therefore, there will be no After School program on 10/3/2017, 1/30/2018 and 4/3/2018.

Please also note that our discipline policy in After-School is slightly different than during the school day. When a child has broken a rule during our After-School program, they are asked to correct the behavior. If they are unable to do so, or the behavior is recurrent, the student will be asked to miss a day of After-school in order to work with parents on behavior shaping. If the problem persists, the child may be asked to leave the program.

For the 2017-2018 school year, EAC Montessori will pre-bill all regularly scheduled/monthly After School charges.Your account will be charged at the end of each month for any additional/drop-in days used during the previous month. If you prepay for the year (10 months), there will be a 10% reduction in the After School charges.

Our Primary/Extended Day and Junior Level After School programs consist of child-initiated, open-ended activities, and teacher designed and directed projects. These range from art, music or movement based activities to cooking and building projects. Outside play is a daily component of After School, weather permitting.
Upper Level and Middle School students begin their afternoon with a 30 minute recess, either on the Field of Dreams or in our multi-purpose room. This is followed by an hour of focused homework time. Junior Level Lions are eligible for “homework club” by request of a parent and approval of their classroom teacher.
