We are so happy to see that you are on this page opening this application. I promise you this is something worthwhile and for the long run.

I hope you all are excited as I am in beginning this new journey of finding yourself not only a mentor, but a lifelong friend, role model, or older sibling. Being a mentee and having a mentor is one of the most impactful experiences during your time at UCI. Your mentor will guide you through your first or second year at UCI and are there as a support system through academic challenges, emotional support, career oriented goals, and more. Your mentors will be that ear to listen to and shoulder to lean on to about anything! Being in a mentorship pairing results in a lot of growth for the both of you alongside mentors spoiling you with food, boba, & gifts. Speaking from my personal experience, my mentor gave me the courage to step out of my little bubble and spread my wings in checking out other organizations, solidifying job offers, and partaking in leadership positions within PUSO. I have made one of my favorite memories during college with my line all because of this one program within PUSO that is essential as a PUSO General Member.

Please fill out the following application to the best of your ability. The more you write about yourself and the following questions, the better I will serve to match you with a potential mentor as best as possible! This year I will be holding casual in-person 1v1's (or Zoom if you're comfy with that) to follow up with your answers and aid in the matchmaking process. With that being said, once you submit this application, I will follow up with a text to determine a good place & times for our small one-on-one :)
