2018-2019 TAP-SD Mentorship Program - Mentor Application Form
• The mission of the TAP-SD (Taiwanese American Professionals, San Diego) Mentorship Program is to grow talent within the Taiwanese American community at San Diego by providing the participants with leadership, networking and development opportunities.

• Program period: 2018 November- 2019 May

• Mentor requirement: Attend program kickoff event to meet mentee in person and check in with mentee through msg/email every month (If you are not able to attend kickoff event, you can still apply but need to schedule an in person meeting with your mentee).

• Benefit for mentor: Opportunities to meet other local working professionals in San Diego, expand your network, share your valuable career experiences to students, be invited to mentorship program events & other TAP-SD events (plus receiving discount in our signature events) and have fun!

• Events for mentee: Including info session, kickoff event, Icebreaking dinner, Speed networking dinner, Industry panel, Job/internship application workshop, Coffee chat and End of the program celebration dinner. Mentors are more than welcome to join all the events to meet your mentees and network with other mentors as well!

Info session: 10/23/2018 (Tue) 8:10-9:30 pm @UCSD Center Hall Room 222
Application close: 11/1/2018 (Thu) 5pm
Results announcement: 11/4/2018 (Sun)
Kickoff event: 11/6/2018 (Tue) 8:10-9:30 pm @UCSD PC (Price Center) West, Thurgood Marshall College Room. (map & parking instructions will be send in confirmation email)

• FAQ:

Q: If I am not able to attend info session/kickoff event, can I still apply as mentor/mentee?
A: Yes! You are still welcome to apply, but need to schedule an in person meeting with your mentor/mentee to catch up.

Q: I am not TAP-SD board member/ TAP-SD board alumni, can I still apply as mentor?
A: Yes! In previous years, we have mentors from board members and outside of organization. If you are interested in more involving in TAP-SD, it would be a great opportunity to participate in our events and meet our current board members!

Q: If I am a current grad student, should I apply as mentee or mentor?
A: You are welcome to apply as any of them! However, we recommend you to have one application.
