HCOS invites you to participate in The Poverty Revolution Bootcamp, a Learning camp with Food For The Hungry.
Camp description: There are over 200 Bible verses that refer to the poor, but many of us struggle with our own understanding of what poverty is, what are the root causes, and more importantly what we can really do about any of it. We can’t deny the existence of poverty, as we look around our own communities, and as we see images streamed in from around the world. However; Jesus also said, “The poor you will always have with you,” and so we wonder, “What really can I do?”
Participating in a Poverty Revolution Boot Camp, provides a learning environment, where together we can explore scriptures and understand better the origins of poverty, God’s heart for the vulnerable, and God’s recommended solution to poverty. As stories of transformation are shared from around the world, participants will be inspired by what God is doing throughout the world, and presented with the opportunity to develop a personal response.
