Describing dynamic data journalism: a survey of news applications
You have been invited to take part in a research study that will collect data on the nature of database-reliant news applications being developed by news organizations in the United States and internationally. This study is being conducted by Katherine Boss at New York University Libraries, and Meredith Broussard at the New York University Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.

If you agree to be in this study, you will be asked to do the following:

1. Complete a questionnaire about a news application you have helped to build.
2. Describe the news application, how it was built, and how it is being stored.

The survey will take an estimated 10-12 minutes to complete. The results will be used to inform research and recommendations in archiving and preserving news applications, as there are currently no systematic processes in place for saving these news stories for the future.

By participating, you are giving consent to allow your answers to be used in academic and non-academic publications.

Thank you for your participation!
