Bible Prophecy examines Old Testament promises and the fulfillment of those promises in the New Testament, the School of Prophets, and the end of the world. This course will survey biblical prophecies and interpretations throughout the bible such as the Pentateuch, Gospels, Epistles, and the Book of Revelation. Bible prophecy covers a variety of topics, including the role of prophecy in the Bible and its interpretation, the prophetic books of the Old Testament, and the foretold period of the rapture, tribulation, Armageddon, the Millennium, and the return of Christ.

Cults, Christianity and Religions Thy 411 March 10 - April 21, Mondays, 7pm-9pm

Instructor: Dr. A. Smith

True Christianity focuses on worshiping Christ as Lord and Savior, while cults may reject Christ and add or substitute their own teachings for the Bible or claim to have a direct line to God. This course will analyze various cults in contemporary society as well as their histories, recruitment strategies, social dynamics, and relationships with the public. Students will also receive scholarly teaching about today’s major religions, their practices and impact on society. In conclusion, this 7-week class will build hermeneutical skills and challenge students to hold fast to sound doctrine and the abundant grace of Jesus Christ.

Thesis/Dissertation (Research Study - Graduate Program) Jan. 14 - April 14, Tuesdays, 7pm-10pm

The course will provide guidance to candidates preparing for and/or fulfilling a career in the urban church community. It is called a “Capstone” because it represents a crowning achievement in ministry studies. All candidates will be expected to organize, examine and develop an original literary work applying it to a specific real-world setting of skills learned in ministry.
