The lack of available child care in Winneshiek County and Northeast Iowa is a serious economic crisis. With limited access to child care, it creates barriers for young families in the workforce and in turn affects school enrollment and future growth of the county. In order to address the issue head-on, Winneshiek County Development would like gather data to identify the need for the community and to facilitate a project that could have an immediate impact on the local economy.
