Hosted by The Oslo Desk to spark a thought-provoking
discussion on rethinking Norwegian journalism through the lens of news
producers and news consumers from immigrant or racialised backgrounds. News
media plays a key role in shaping our thoughts and informing us on events that
are happening in our society. How do we prevent media bias and obtain media
representation so that we do not impact marginalised groups in our Norwegian
society?
In this panel, we bring together journalists, editors,
diversity and inclusion specialists and researchers to explore solutions for
this topic, and answering the fundamental question -'What bold moves can
Norwegian newsrooms take to become more inclusive for news consumers and news
producers from racialised communities?'
