PFLAG Santa Rosa/Sonoma County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ individuals, their families, and allies. Our board members play a critical role in guiding our chapter’s vision, ensuring we fulfill our mission, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive community.
We are looking for passionate, dedicated individuals who are committed to advancing our work and who bring diverse perspectives, experiences, and skills. Board members are expected to attend regular meetings, participate in events and initiatives, and contribute to the overall governance and sustainability of the organization.
Board Member Responsibilities
Board members help guide our PFLAG chapter's mission to support LGBTQ+ individuals and their families. As a board member, you'll work as part of a team to ensure our chapter thrives and effectively serves our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide our mission and set goals for the chapter
- Plan programs that serve our community's needs
- Support fundraising and oversee responsible use of funds
- Represent PFLAG as an ambassador in the community
- Ensure accountability and ethical operations
- Help recruit and support new board members
Commitment: Monthly meetings plus participation in chapter events throughout the year.
