WXYC Hiring Application – Summer 2026
WXYC is hiring new student DJs for Summer 2026! 

Please read through the information below completely. 

WXYC Chapel Hill 89.3FM is the non-commercial, student-run, freeform radio station broadcasting 24/7 from the student union since 1977.  We broadcast at 1100 watts from the student union on the UNC campus, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our coverage area encompasses approximately 900 square miles in and around Chapel Hill, Durham, Pittsboro, Apex, and parts of Raleigh. Applications are open to UNC students, faculty, and staff.

Interviews will run from Wednesday May 13th through Friday May 15th, 3pm-6pm at the WXYC station in the student union in Rm 3420. Sign up for an interview slot here.

Please complete your application by 11:59PM the night before your interview to ensure that our team has adequate time to review your application.
