Jarrestadt & Stadtpark: The legacy of Fritz Schumacher
Hamburg’s chief architect and urban planner from 1909 to 1933, Fritz Schumacher profoundly shaped the city in his vision. He contributed significantly to the creation of red-brick expressionism and introduced early modernism to the city. We will take a closer look at Jarrestadt, a residential district built in early 1920s with a local red-brick touch.
