Open to professional dancers and dance students ages 18 and up.
The Gaga Workshop will be taught by Danielle Agami, former Batsheva dancer/rehearsal director.
Agami is a renowned Gaga teacher and has been traveling across the world as an ambassador of Ohad Naharin's Gaga Movement Language and her own work as Artistic Director of Ate9 Dance Company.
Agami believes that in order to fully own the revelations in the body, we must understand the logic and fantasy behind each experience in class. Agami's fine, detailed explanations help her students participate intellectually, mentally, and physically all at once.
Most recently, Agami has embarked on a residency at the Center for Ballet and the Arts at NYU where she is developing a new class that allows the classical ballet structures and Ate9 Company Class to meet in Harmony. This summer Agami will bring some of this research to the Tempe Gaga Movement Workshop.
