Community Impact Assessment
Thank you for taking the time to complete the Community Impact Assessment (CIA). The CIA was developed by LOCO, and is now being refined and distributed more widely in partnership with the Vancouver Economic Commission (VEC). The CIA is intended to help businesses like yours understand and quantify the positive economic impacts they have on the local community. All relevant metrics align where possible with the BCorp assessment (http://www.bcorporation.net) that is gaining popularity as a sustainable business standard.

Depending on your company's size and complexity, completing the survey should take no more than 45 minutes. To make it as simple as possible, there are few required questions, however, we would appreciate if you'd try to answer everything you can. You can also edit your answers after you submit the completed assessment tool. You can do this from your email confirmation or on the form submission confirmation page. Please email amy@locobc.com or call LOCO at 604-351-1664 if you have any questions or require clarification.

The tool asks some questions about growth and purchasing spends so we can accurately characterize how businesses create real economic impact. We value your privacy and your trust in us above all else. LOCO will only ever use the data in aggregate form, never linking your data directly to your company without your permission. Your raw data will likewise not be shared with VEC or other project partners - results will only be discussed in aggregate form. By completing the assessment, your company (and you as its representative) agrees to these terms.

Section 1: Company Info & Location
We ask where your headquarters and operations are located to understand where owners, management and other employees are based, and to understand where your bigger service purchases (ex. banking, accounting, legal) are most likely to be based.
1. What is the name of your business? *
2. What is your position in the business? *
3. What is your name? *
4. Where are your headquarters located? *
5. Are all your operations located in the same geography as your headquarters? *
By geography, we mean within the region or province.
6. Where are the majority of your operations located? *
7a. Which Category Best Describes Your Business?
We've used the categories from the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for standardization, which should be the same code you use when corresponding with the Canada Revenue Agency. If you're not sure, leave this question blank and we'll try to help you figure out the right code. If you both retail and manufacture, choose the most pertinent activity related to your employment and local purchasing.
