Hark Up Christmas 2026 Choir Sign Up
Hark Up Christmas is a 2 hour+ contemporary Christmas show with a cast of 250+ performed each year at the DeVos Center for Arts and Worship on the campus of Grand Rapids Christian High School.  The show features Christmas songs and carols, contemporary parodies and traditional elements but is mostly contemporary and progressive in nature.  Each year we tell the Biblical Christmas narrative in a fresh and unique way. We would love to have you join us as a part of the Hark Up Choir.

CHRISTMAS CHOIR REQUIREMENTS
You must be able to read music.
You must be able to sing and stay on your voice part.
Ages range from 13 – 85. Minors need to have a participation form signed by a parent.
Music is memorized and we do simple movements.
Regular access to email and a commitment to read all communication sent out.
If you have never sung with us before, you may be contacted for an interview.

COMMUNICATION
All choir details and updates are communicated via email. Please be sure your contact information is correct when registering. Questions can be sent to harkupchoir@gmail.com.

ATTENDANCE
Attend ALL weekly choir rehearsals beginning in October.  In addition, you must be available for the combined rehearsal, tech, dress, and show dates listed below.  Only ONE absence allowed during rehearsals unless specifically approved by leadership. All missed rehearsals need to be communicated with leadership well ahead of time.

CONCERT WEAR
It is expected that the choir and ensemble will secure all costuming for themselves for the show.  Some accessories may be provided, but the bulk of concert wear needs to be secured at your own expense.  This information will be communicated in advance to give ample time to acquire and is usually a dressy black base outfit with optional additional accessories.

EXPENSES
In addition to any personal costuming expenses, we ask for a $5+ donation from all singers to help cover the costs of folders and music printing. Music rehearsal CD's or thumbdrives are also available for a $10 donation. Information will be available about show shirts and other Hark Up merchandise at rehearsals.

Rehearsals are Monday evenings at the Hark Up Loft, 800 Monroe Ave., Suite 322, Grand Rapids. 
Show notes begin at 6:50. Rehearsal runs 7-9pm.
