Calvert Lakes Oceans of Hope Challenge 2025

Introduction

Thank you for your interest in our Calvert Lakes Oceans of Hope Challenge! We are thrilled to offer you the opportunity to apply to join us for this adventurous and unique experience for people living with MS. The dates for the event are 22nd to 25th August 2025.

The cost of this event is: £175. This cost has generously been subsidised by funding from  AkzoNobel  and Hilary's Dream Trust to less than half of the cost price. It includes 3 nights accommodation and all meals.The location of this event is: Calvert Lakes, Little Crosthwaite, Keswick CA12 4QD

Calvert Lakes provides adventure breaks and holidays for people with disabilities. A not-for-profit based in the Lake District, they help children and adults with a range of disabilities overcome challenges and experience the benefit of the great outdoors. All activities and facilities are fully wheelchair accessible.

Our events are always in high demand, and as a result, we maintain a waiting list. Participants are selected based on the following criteria: the date your application is received, your volunteer status, a balanced mix of sailing experience, with the goal of having an equal number of veterans and new participants, and priority is given to those who did not secure a spot in previous challenge events.
