Project Description

The MCTM Teacher Incentive Grant awards up to $1500 to Minnesota PK–16+ mathematics teachers to support educators desiring to implement professional development, standards-based projects, or other endeavors that advance student learning. Your application should describe meaningful and purposeful practices that will deepen students' understanding by strengthening one's teaching practices. 

Write a brief description of the project (500 words or less) addressing the following:

  • Focus of the proposal (summary statement) 

  • Indicate how the project is related to Minnesota State Standard(s) (download 2007 – download 2022, Commissioner’s Draft, effective 2026-27)

  • Indicate how the best practices Standards of Mathematical Practice & Mathematics Teaching Practices are being implemented by this project

  • Outline project activities and plan of action

  • Describe the benefit to student learning and educational objectives 

  • State the expected outcomes for student learning

  • Share how and when you will measure the project’s success

  • Share how you see the project’s replicability by others
