It is our pleasure to invite you to a very special ‘Come and Sing’ Event to celebrate the Coronation!
On Sunday 21st May, Northern Chords Festival will present a concert at Newcastle Cathedral in celebration of the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. We are thrilled that the world famous London Mozart Players will be at the festival for the first time, and they will be joined by award winning choir Voices of Hope. Under the baton of Jonathan Bloxham, the concert will start with a performance of Zadok the Priest and we’d like to invite you to sing with us! We want to build a beautiful chorus of local singers to open this very special concert.
The will be a rehearsal on the day at Newcastle Cathedral, from 1.30 - 2.15pm, and then the performance is at 6pm. After the performance of Zadok the Priest we invite you to join the audience to enjoy the rest of the concert - which includes Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D minor with 2014 BBC Young Musician of the Year Winner Martin James Bartlett followed by Mozart’s Coronation Mass. The concert finishes at 7.10pm.

There is no cost to take part, but we kindly ask you to purchase a ticket for the concert. As a member of this special come and sing chorus we will send you a discount code to pass on to family and friends so that they can come and enjoy the concert too!
