Rogue Buzzway Data Source Form
We invite you to put your pollinator habitat on the Rogue Buzzway map! Please complete this short questionnaire to tell us about your property and how it meets the criteria for Pollinator Habitat. Note that your email address, phone number, and address will remain confidential.

The Rogue Buzzway project will create a pollinator corridor, or a pollinator “Buzzway,” both in the actual landscape and on an online map. This Buzzway is visioned to be a corridor of almost contiguous spaces of pollinator friendly habitat for butterflies, bumble bees, native bees, honey bees, hummingbirds and moths. With a Buzzway winding its way through the Rogue Valley, we will be able to visualize how large and small pollinator habitats planted and maintained by homeowners, businesses, and municipalities connect to parks, monarch way-stations, and Southern Oregon Land Conservancy (SOLC) lands, to help guide us in our future land-use decisions.

CRITERIA FOR POLLINATOR HABITAT:
1. Plants are blooming continuously from early spring to early winter.
2. Water (for bees) or mud (for butterflies) is part of the landscape, either as a river, spring, seep, or stream, or as a shallow, pebble lined dish, a bird bath or other water feature.
3. Seeds and plants have not been treated with neonicotinoids or other systemic pesticides.
4. "Untended" areas with bare soil and/or bushes and other plantings for nesting and overwintering of native bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
