Community-Engaged Research Fellows Application (2023-24)
Interested in developing your community-engaged research? This year-long Community-Engaged Research Fellows program is designed to support UAA faculty in strengthening their community-engaged research agenda.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The focus of the 5th Annual Community-Engaged Research Fellows program is to support community-engaged research efforts at UAA. The program focuses on supporting faculty in the exchange of ideas and knowledge around community-engaged research methodologies, partnership development, and research dissemination. Peer support is a vital component of the program.
 
Program Goals

    Facilitate faculty efforts to further their community-engaged research    
    Expand faculty knowledge and skills on community-engaged methodologies
    Increase dissemination and recognition of community-engaged research at UAA

Program Components

     Monthly meetings in FY2023-2024 to include peer-led brown bag sessions, training opportunities, grant and manuscript writing support.
     Participation in Community Engagement Research Fellows session at the annual Community Engagement Forum in April 2024.
     
Program Outcomes

    Engage with the fellows program as an active member of the learning community by participating in monthly meetings and events.
    Demonstrate progress in community-engaged research agenda through forward movement from (at minimum) one stage of research process to another.

Selection Criteria

     The aim of this project is to promote UAA community-engaged research. Application to the Community-Engaged Research Fellows programs is a competitive process. Priority will be given to faculty who have a project in the active development, data collection or analysis, or dissemination phase. If necessary, priority will be given to faculty who have research as a required component of their workload.    
 
Eligibility

     The program is open to all full and part-time faculty and staff from all UAA campuses.
