All of the characters in Out of the Archives are morally grey with the potential for evil, but some are darker than others. How do you feel about playing an evil character?
I would rather play someone who is more good.
I would rather play someone who is evil from the get go.

Take a look at the character list. Are there any characters that stand out to you as someone you would or would not like to play? (Keep in mind the characters are all written gender neutrally.) *
All of the characters in Out of the Archives are written without consideration to their gender and can be played as any gender you wish. However, some characters have romantic histories with each other. Please let us know your preference regarding romance. (Check all that apply)

Out of the Archives is a horror game with some elements that can be disturbing. The following subjects and themes are unavoidable: cosmic horror, gaslighting, occultism, inability to trust reality, death.

We will have safety tools during the game so this can be a fun experience!
*
In addition to the unavoidable themes, other dark themes and topics can come up in the game and in character backgrounds. For example: death of a parent or spouse, infidelity, specific phobias such as claustrophobia, self harm, body horror, police, social issues.

(These are only described on paper or in conversation, not acted out! We are not going to trap anyone in a tight space or throw them out in the ocean!!)

Please let us know any themes and topics you would like us to avoid in your character's background and game experience.
*
Is there anyone you want to play closely with?
Is there anyone you do not want to play closely with or certain relationships you want to avoid? (For example: "Do not cast me as someone in a romantic relationship with X person because they are my mom IRL.")
Anything else? Write us about what you wished we asked about.
