FINANCE COMMITTEE: Assist the Treasurer in the review of chapter financials and make recommendations for the financial health of the chapter.
EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND NEXTGEN COMMITTEE: Help with projects supporting minority-owned businesses, young entrepreneur start-ups, and community outreach efforts including our chapter's alliance with the Women's Veteran Program and Girl Scouts. This committee will build an inclusive environment by providing resources and training and also welcoming all thoughts and opinions. Committee members will commit to developing, coordinating and supporting various initiatives that enhance and support our goals.
MEMBERSHIP AND OUTREACH COMMITTEE: Welcome and onboard new members and foster relationships with current and prospective members. Help the chapter grow membership and enhance the member experience. The Membership Committee heads up creative efforts to grow membership, enrich member experience, and reach current members to keep them involved in ways that offer value to them and their business. This committee is looking for volunteers who can spend a little time sharing the benefits of NAWBO with potential members through phone calls or targeted events such as our monthly Coffee and Connects and Book Club Socials; This is an excellent way to ramp up your NAWBO networking!
MARKETING, MEDIA, AND COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE: Help to drive awareness of NAWBO Richmond and keep members informed. Projects may include work on branding, marketing strategies, social media campaigns, newsletter writing, and publicity for the chapter. The Communications Committee is currently looking for members who like to spread the word!
PROGRAMS AND EVENTS COMMITTEE: Help with the creation and hosting of chapter events designed to deliver valuable information and strengthen relationships among our group of business owners. This includes planning of professional development speaking events and chapter socials. We need several volunteers for this committee who are organized and creative planners!
SPONSORSHIP AND FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE: Help with revenue-generating opportunities for the chapter, promote sponsorship opportunities, foster relationships with community and corporate partners, and develop new revenue streams for our chapter!
ADVOCACY AND PUBLIC POLICY: Monitor the activities of local, state, and national NAWBO regulatory bodies; Provide recommendations to the NAWBO Richmond Chapter for responding to requests from these bodies and advocate for the needs and interests of the NAWBO Richmond chapter.
WOMEN OF EXCELLENCE AWARDS: Assist in the planning of our annual Women of Excellence Awards ceremony. Support the NAWBO Foundation with the awards nomination process, nominee communications, marketing/advertising, and event-planning logistics (i.e. vendors, programs, menus, etc.).
